SETU Annapurna: Nourishing Lives, One Plate at a Time
In November 2020, SETU launched its flagship project, “SETU Annapurna,” with a mission to provide healthy and delicious food to the workers and laborers in Dared Industrial area of Jamnagar. The project offers nutritious meals at a highly subsidized rate of just Rs. 5 per plate, comprising a wholesome combination of Vegetable Dal and Basmati Rice. The success of SETU Annapurna is evident from its rapid expansion, with nine additional branches established within a span of less than three years.

Affordability:
- Meals are priced at an affordable Rs. 5 per plate, ensuring accessibility for daily wage industrial workers.
Nutrient-Rich:
- Each plate consists of a balanced mix of healthy elements, promoting the well-being of the workforce.
Community Impact:
- SETU Annapurna serves the community on a daily basis, becoming an integral part of the daily lives of the people in Dared area, situated within the city of Jamnagar, known for its industrial activities.
Rapid Expansion:
- The project has grown from its first outlet to a network of ten branches, demonstrating its positive reception and impact.
Our Aim:
- Serve delicious, nutritious, and high-quality meals to everyone, ensuring all civilians can enjoy wholesome meals and simultaneously motivating and supporting laborers in their daily endeavors.
Beyond Plates: SETU's Impact Beyond Food
Apart from SETU Annapurna, SETU has actively engaged in various charitable initiatives, displaying a commitment to community welfare.
COVID-19 Relief:
- During the 2020 pandemic, SETU distributed 1000 food kits to deprived families, providing essential sustenance and aid to the underprivileged in Jamnagar.
Hospital Support:
- SETU, along with a group of friends, provided free meals to family members of patients and emergency service staff during the COVID-19 lockdown, serving approximately 42,000 dishes over two months.
Humanitarian Aid:
- In August 2021, SETU collaborated with other corporate entities to arrange 700 meals at the airport for the crew involved in evacuating Indian citizens from Afghanistan.
Festive Joy:
- Since the year 2022 as an annual tradition, SETU has been distributing sweet packets to approximately 300 economically disadvantaged families as a part of Diwali celebrations, bringing joy and spreading the festive spirit.
